Holidays…..A long review

Hello Zebra-holics,

I’m back again with a new and exciting post about what all of us kids love most…. HOLIDAYS!! Well, that and chocolate. In Australia, we have finished school and I don’t know if America or any other countries have yet. I have come here today to tell you about my holiday, starting with the sleep in…

I woke up on the first day of the holidays feeling great. It was a sunny Thursday and I had a fair sleep in. (For me a sleep in is about 7.30-8.00am.) I slowly got out of bed and made my way down stairs with a blanket from my cupboard. I was ready for a nice lazy morning. I set up the couch like a bed and turned on the T.V. I can’t remember what was on but I didn’t like it so I flicked through some channels until Nickelodeon popped into view. I was hungry andI crept silently to the kitchen, trying not to wake up my sleeping Mum…. Now I can understand if this is getting a bit boring so I’ll skip to my amazing Easter long weekend.

On Friday at 12.30 my family and I drove for 45 minutes over to Pittwater to hire a boat at Church Point Charters. If you ever need a family trip away, this was so fun and I recommend it well. With the four of us all we needed was a reasonably small boat with at least a double and two singles, and I cannot live without hot water so I needed a shower thrown in there too. We were set up with a cute little cruiser, Edan. At the bow ( front) there was a hatch and later next to two sets of bunk beds. Past the wall that separated the next section to us was the double bed and across from that was a small, cramped bathroom. Up 2 steps was a comfy table and a strip of bench that was a kitchen with a gas stove. Outside, the stern (back) accompanied a round table and seats that, once you lifted up would become mini fridges. This was prime fishing area. Over the period of the weekend, we experienced big waves, a fish for snacks, an interesting couple of nights sleep and a whole lot of fun with an Easter egg hunt as well. One day, I even had such a burst of courage that I jumped off the top of the boat and drenched everyone on the boat that wasn’t undercover which is no-one.

I have done a lot of writing today so I will fill you in with all the amazing fun that I had at Pembertons this year next time!
